Reiki Panel Experiment: What Happens When Multiple Practitioners Tune Into the Same Energy?
This episode of The Unity Code was my first collaborative panel-style podcast experiment, and honestly… it was one of the most validating “Reiki is real” moments I’ve ever experienced.
I brought together three Reiki practitioners (plus two recipients) and ran a two-part Reiki experiment. The goal was simple: test what happens when multiple practitioners work on the same person individually, then compare it to what happens when we work collectively as a group. I wanted to see whether Reiki impressions would overlap, whether individual “practitioner signature” would matter, and whether group energy would amplify the experience or muddy it.
In the first round, each practitioner offered a focused, one-on-one style Reiki scan for Carol while staying energetically separate. Carol’s feedback came in immediately: she felt strong sensations at her crown and feet first, then the energy settled into her solar plexus. She also said it was so relaxing she nearly fell asleep—classic Reiki response.
What shocked me was how consistent the practitioners were without comparing notes. Multiple people independently described Carol’s crown chakra as wide open, then redirected to lower centers. Themes repeated across practitioners: grounding work, alignment through the hips and lower body, a guarded or protected heart space, and the need to bring energy down into the earth rather than staying “top heavy.” Even more compelling: Carol confirmed a major physical detail (a hip replacement and leg-length change) that was picked up energetically by more than one person.
But the second half of the episode is where the experiment got truly wild.
We shifted to a collective Reiki session on Diane, setting the intention that the practitioners would synchronize and work together as one energetic field. Diane described feeling “hands” checking in all over her system at first, then distinct energetic textures from each practitioner—woven energy up the spine, fairy-dust lightness, grounding steadiness—before something bigger happened. She said it felt like her energetic shell unzipped and fell away, followed by a massive expansion into something “bigger than the universe.”
The practitioners echoed the same core imagery in different language: unfurling, tree / roots, earth connection, expansion, and an undeniable amplification compared to the first round. Even from the facilitator seat, I could feel the difference. The group energy wasn’t additive—it was exponential. It moved fast, it moved deep, and it integrated in a way that felt like everything “clicked back into place” afterward.
One of the most important takeaways from this Reiki experiment was that Reiki impressions can land in the same core truth… while still being shaped by each practitioner’s unique “signature.” The overlap validated the energetic reality. The differences showed why the practitioner you resonate with matters—because their language, imagery, and intuitive lens can give you a deeper layer of meaning.
If you’ve ever wondered whether Reiki is “real,” whether group healing amplifies energy, or whether different practitioners pull different information from the same person—this episode answers that in a way you can feel.
And yes: we’re absolutely doing another one.
